Wideways is proud to be using Alvarion's BreezeACCESS Fixed Wireless Solution. Our wireless infrastructure allows us to provide broadband access alternatives
to both small and large businesses. Our equipment operates in the 3.5GHz licensed frequency band.
Wideways' Network is based on packet-switching technology optimized for IP based
applications, allowing always on connectivity at high data rates bursting to 3 Mbits/sec per subscriber. Installing broadband services for our customers is very cost
effective, requires minimum installation time and will provide them with quick
returns on their investment. Wideways uses Ethernet interfaces on both CPE and
base station equipment. In addition we utilize high performance routers, switches, and
gateways; therefore Interfacing to a standard data communications networks, the plain ordinary telephone system (NITEL), cellular or GSM companies is seamless.
Once the wireless infrastructure is in place, using the BreezeACCESS Committed Information Rate (CIR) and Maximum Information Rate (MIR) features, Wideways can guarantee bandwidth to select customers. Layer 2 and
3 traffic priorities using 802.1p and IP ToS allow the implementation of additional service options, such as platinum, gold
and silver services.
Wideway' Fixed Wireless Network is secure, supporting RC4 based Wired Equivalent Privacy(WEP).
 Additional security is provided by means of Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum
(FHSS) wireless technology, frequency shift sequences and by requiring an Extended
Service Set Identifier (ESSID) for entry into the network.
